Score Predictions for Hornets vs. Nets

Our staff picks who wins tonight's game between Charlotte and Brooklyn.
In this story:

Schuyler Callihan: Hornets 118, Nets 116.

Taking care of the ball and hammering the paint should be points of emphasis for the Hornets in this game tonight. Brooklyn is at a disadvantage down low with Nic Claxton being out. Mark Williams did not play well at all versus Detroit and he doesn't strike me as a player that's going to have back-to-back poor showings very often. Tight contest but I'll give the Hornets the edge.

Prediction record: 1-1.

Matt Alquiza: Hornets 110, Nets 103.

The Hornets gets back on track and ends the opening homestand 2-1. The positive side of the Jekyll and Hyde Charlotte offense will show up tonight and bring the Hive alive with a big win.

Prediction record: 1-1.

Desmond Johnson: Hornets 115, Nets 108

Hornets get a home win to end the opening homestead at 2-1. Looking at the Nets' roster, it reads like they need 1-2 star level players to truly be a threat in the East. They are 0-2 with two close losses to the Cavs and Mavs. Look for one of Charlotte's bigs to have a big game tonight.

Prediction record: 1-1.

Will Eudy: Hornets 112, Nets 104

Nets don’t have a PnR threat like Cade Cunningham and Jalen Duren, so the Hornets will have an easier time getting stops on the interior. We will finally see Charlotte take an edge on the boards with Mark Williams and Nick Richards imposing their size on the Nets’ smaller frontcourt.

Prediction record: 0-0.
