Score Predictions for Hornets vs. Magic

Our staff picks tonight's game between Charlotte and Orlando.

Schuyler Callihan: Magic 118, Hornets 88.

Charlotte is clearly outmatched in this one, even more so with the latest injuries. I don't see the Hornets cracking 90 tonight against the third-best scoring defense in the NBA. The Magic roll early and are able to rest their starters for much of the fourth quarter.

Prediction record: 25-10.

James Plowright: Magic 109, Hornets 84.

If you could dose the Hornets front office with truth serum, I don't think they would want to win another game. Orlando is jostling for playoff positioning while the Hornets have only seven full healthy players. Expect Orlando's defense to suffocate this sputtering, undermanned Hornets offense.

Prediction record: 29-10.

Sam Dracula: Magic 120, Hornets 100.

This is going to be ugly. Orlando could be a top 3 seed in the Eastern Conference, they have a coach of the year candidate, and they have several all-defense caliber players. Charlotte is banged up and has a coach that's leaving at the end of the season.

Prediction record: 8-2.

Atticus Ferguson: Magic 120, Hornets 80.

The Hornets have seven fully healthy players suiting up for tonight’s contest and the Magic have legitimate post season aspirations this year. There’s not much else to say here.  Orlando should soundly thump Charlotte tonight and be able to get their main guys some rest throughout the second half.

Prediction record: 31-6.
