Picks for tonight's Hornets game.
In this story:

Star ratings:

1 Star - Not very confident

2 Star - A little confident

3 Star - Fairly confident

4 Star - Very confident

5 Star - Should be a lock to happen

Spread: Pacers -9.5

2 Star play on the Hornets (+9.5): Charlotte shook up the roster big time at the trade deadline, adding the likes of Grant Williams, Vasilije Micic, Tre Mann, Seth Curry, and Davis Bertans to a lineup in desperate need of an infusion of talent.

The new faces contributed brightly in their debut against the Grizzlies, led by Micic's 19 points and 9 assists, Williams' 15 points and 8 rebounds, and Mann's 9 points, 9 assists, and 4 rebounds.

The Pacers are not the Grizzlies though. Indiana carries the most efficient offense in the NBA, and have only gotten stronger since adding Pascal Siakam to the mix from Toronto. While Memphis was not able to expose the Hornets lack of continuity with all of the new faces, Indiana very well can.

If Haliburton, listed as questionable for hamstring injury management is suits up, things will be tough. Charlotte has the momentum of change on their side though, so look for them to surprise Indiana here and keep this one within single digits.

Over/Under: 237.5

1 Star play on the over: When the most efficient offense in the NBA meets a team still getting to know each other, the game total is a bit of a crapshoot. Charlotte's offense looks loads more capable at this point than they have for the majority of the season, so I believe they can keep up their end of the deal enough to keep up with the Indiana and work towards the over.

My picks this season

ATS: 8-3 (72.7%)

O/U: 5-6 (45.4%)

Overall: 13-9 (59.1%)
