Spread & Over/Under Predictions for Hornets at Pistons

Can the Hornets cover the spread?
In this story:

Each game day, we at All Hornets will release an article on our thoughts on the spread and the over/under of Charlotte Hornets games. The star ratings next to the play describe the overall confidence in that particular play.

Star ratings:

1 Star - Not very confident

2 Star - A little confident

3 Star - Fairly confident

4 Star - Very confident

5 Star - Should be a lock to happen

Spread: Pistons -2.5

1 Star play on the Hornets (+2.5): The Pistons played Milwaukee tough in back to back games, but fell short. I'm not laying points with a team that's won four games all year even when playing Charlotte. The Hornets pulled out a big surprising win over Minnesota and that's something I believe this team can build off of. I'll take the points in the battle of cellar dwellers.

Over/Under: 233.5

1 Star play on the under: Detroit's defense has been abysmal all season long, allowing 123 points per game and Charlotte hasn't been much better giving up 119.9 a game. That said, the under has hit in 13 of the last 20 games for Charlotte as well as four of the last five meetings between these two. Without Terry Rozier, it may take the Hornets a couple of games to reconfigure its offense.

My picks this season

ATS: 12-17 (41%)

O/U: 14-15 (48%)

Overall: 26-32 (45%)
