Spread & Over/Under Predictions for Hornets at Lakers

Can the Hornets cover the spread?
In this story:

Each game day, we at All Hornets will release an article on our thoughts on the spread and the over/under of Charlotte Hornets games. The star ratings next to the play describe the overall confidence in that particular play.

Star ratings:

1 Star - Not very confident

2 Star - A little confident

3 Star - Fairly confident

4 Star - Very confident

5 Star - Should be a lock to happen

Spread: Lakers -12.5

1 Star play on the Lakers (-12.5): The Lakers are scuffling, but the Hornets are reeling. Some big names are questionable for tonight's game on both sides which leaves me little confidence in this pick. Charlotte has been fairly competitive in the previous two games, meaning they're due for a stinker.

Over/Under: 226.5

1 Star play on the over: The over has cashed in four of the last five matchups between these two and for the Lakers, it has hit in seven of the last eight games. Assuming the Lakers have their stars in the lineup tonight, the young Hornets have nothing to slow them down with. Let's go with the over.

My picks this season

ATS: 7-12 (37%)

O/U: 9-10 (47%)

Overall: 16-22 (42%)
