Spread & Over/Under Predictions for Hornets vs. Bucks

Can the Hornets cover the spread?
In this story:

Each game day, we at All Hornets will release an article on our thoughts on the spread and the over/under of Charlotte Hornets games. The star ratings next to the play describe the overall confidence in that particular play.

Star ratings:

1 Star - Not very confident

2 Star - A little confident

3 Star - Fairly confident

4 Star - Very confident

5 Star - Should be a lock to happen

Spread: Bucks -11.5

3 Star play on the Bucks (-11.5): I do believe the Hornets will shoot the ball a little better than 27% through the first three quarters, but I'm not sure they have an answer for the Bucks on the other end of the floor. Another disappointing third quarter puts them in a major hole and one they can't dig out of. Bucks win and cover the 11.5-point spread.

Over/Under: 216.5

3 Star play on the under: It's six straight unders for the Hornets and five unders in the last six outings for the Bucks. Charlotte's offense has dropped off significantly since the All-Star break but they've dramatically improved on the defensive end. Even when giving up 123 to Milwaukee two night ago, the total landed at 208. When they gave up 120 to the Bucks earlier in the month, it landed at 204. I expect it to be in the range, so I'm backing the under.

My picks this season

ATS: 18-22 (45%)

O/U: 20-20 (50%)

Overall: 38-42 (47.5%)
