Charlotte Hornets set training camp roster at 20
The Charlotte Hornets will begin their second season of the James Borrego and Mitch Kupchak era on Tuesday in Chapel Hill.
That's when training camp will get underway for the Hornets, who are in the midst of a youth movement and "transition" year after the departure of longtime franchise centerpiece Kemba Walker.
On Friday, the Hornets released their roster for training camp, which stands at 20 players.
Robert Franks and Ahmed Hill, a pair of rookies, are both on two-way contracts. Four other rookies -- PJ Washington, Caleb and Cody Martin, and Josh Perkins -- will also be in camp. Not listed on the roster is second-round pick Jalen McDaniels, who remains unsigned. The San Diego State product was selected 52nd overall this past draft.
The only two players on the Hornets training camp roster with more than 10 years of NBA experience are Marvin Williams and Nic Batum.
Before heading to Chapel Hill for camp, the Hornets will host a media day in Charlotte on Monday.
