The Charlotte Hornets have a few big decisions left to make this offseason but in the meantime, they are identifying young talent they would like to keep in the system.

After averaging 2.7 points and 5.7 rebounds in 15.7 minutes per game with the team in the NBA2K24 Summer League, former UNC star Leaky Black has signed a two-way contract with the Hornets.

Black appeared in 155 games across five seasons for the Tar Heels, averaging 5.5 points, 4.7 rebounds, 2.2 assists, 1.1 steals, and 0.6 blocks per game. His numbers aren't eye-popping by any means but the effort and tenacity he plays with on the defensive end of the floor is unmatched. Black was named to the ACC All-Defense team in each of the past two seasons, playing a big part in UNC's run to the national championship game in 2022.
