Cody Zeller the 2013 4th overall Pick has signed with the Miami Heat ahead of their impending playoff run. Zeller will have the opportunity to earn the back-up center spot behind Bam Adebayo after the Heat traded away Dedmon at the trade deadline. This trade re-unites former Hornets teammates Caleb Martin and Cody Zeller who played together during the 2019-20 season.

Cody Zeller spent training camp with the Utah Jazz before being waived in mid October before the season started. Zeller has played 9 seasons for the Hornets and Trail Blazers. He has averaged 8.5 points and 6.0 rebounds in 491 regular-season games.
