Every Hornets/Bobcats Deadline Day Deal Since 1987
The NBA trade deadline is today and players, coaches, agents, executives, and real estate professionals are on the edge of their seat. Charlotte has sat out plenty of deadline days in the past, but they do have a history of making moves at the trade deadline buzzer. Multiple Hornets are on the block this year. PJ Washington, Miles Bridges, Kyle Lowry, Nick Richards, and Gordon Hayward have all been rumored to be moved in deals across the league.
Here is Charlotte's trade deadline day history.
2023:
Hornets traded Mason Plumlee to the Clippers for Reggie Jackson and a 2028 second-round pick.
Hornets traded Jalen McDaniels and a 2024 second-round pick to the 76ers; Knicks traded Svi Mykhailiuk to Hornets and Ryan Arcidiacono, Cam Reddish, Ante Tomic and a 2023 first-round pick to the Blazers; the 76ers traded a 2023 second-round pick to the Hornets and traded Matisse Thybulle to the Blazers; Blazers traded a 2027 second-round pick to Hornets and traded Dani Diez, Bojan Dubljevic and Josh Hart to the Knicks and traded a 2029 second-round pick to the 76ers.
2022:
Wizards traded Montrezl Harrell to the Hornets for Vernon Carey Jr., Ish Smith and a 2023 second-round pick.
2021:
Warriors traded Brad Wanamaker, cash and a 2022 second-round pick to the Hornets for a 2025 second-round pick.
2014:
Bobcats traded Ramon Sessions and Jeff Adrien to the Bucks for Luke Ridnour and Gary Neal.
2013:
Bobcats traded Hakim Warrick and cash to the Magic for Josh McRoberts.
2011:
Bobcats traded Gerald Wallace to the Trail Blazers for Joel Przybilla, Dante Cunningham, Sean Marks, a future first-round pick, a conditional future first round pick and cash.
Bobcats traded Nazr Mohammed to the Thunder for Morris Peterson and D.J. White.
2010:
Spurs traded Theo Ratliff to the Bobcats for a 2016 conditional second-round draft pick.
Bobcats traded Acie Law, Flip Murray and a future first-round draft pick to the Bulls for Tyrus Thomas.
2005:
Bobcats traded Steve Smith to the Heat in exchange for Malik Allen and cash.
1997:
Warriors traded Donald Royal to the Hornets for Scott Burrell.
1994:
Hornets traded Mike Gminksi to the Bucks for Frank Brickowski and a conditional first-round draft pick.
1990:
Knicks traded a 1991 second-round draft pick to the Hornets for Stuart Gray.
Hornets traded a future second-round draft pick to the Cavaliers for Randolph Keys.
