Hornets Agree to Exhibit 10 Deal with Tre Scott
The Charlotte Hornets have agreed to an Exhibit 10 deal with 26-year-old forward, Tre Scott.
An Exhibit 10 deal is a one-year, minimum salary deal that does not include salary protections aka guaranteed money. The deal can be converted to a two-way contract by the franchise as long as the change is made prior to the start of the season.
Scott played in five games with the Hornets in the NBA2K24 Summer League and averaged 5.2 points and 2.4 rebounds per contest. He also played in ten games with the Hornets G League affiliate, the Greensboro Swarm this past season. There, Scott posted 17.4 points, 6.9 rebounds, and 2.8 assists per game while shooting 53% from the field and 34% from three-point land.
Scott went undrafted in 2020 coming out of the University of Cincinnati and has hopped around quite a bit in his short professional career, spending time with Leones de Ponce (Puerto Rico), Salt Lake City Stars (Jazz G League affiliate), Cleveland Charge (Cavaliers G League), Ontario Clippers (LA Clippers G League), Fos Provence Basket (France), Calgary Surge (Canadian Elite Basketball Leauge), and the Cleveland Cavaliers.
