The bulk of the Charlotte Hornets' roster is set with 14 of their allotted 15 guaranteed spots being filled. On Tuesday, General Manager and President of Basketball Operations Mitch Kupchak said that there's a possibility that they keep that roster spot open heading into training camp.

Kupchak also mentioned the possibility of signing a few players to get a further look at in training camp and possibly in Greensboro with the Swarm. He wasted very little time doing that, signing four players last night - Tre Scott, Angelo Allegri, Jaylen Sims, and Nathan Mensah.

Tre Scott played in five games with the Hornets in the NBA2K24 Summer League and averaged 5.2 points and 2.4 rebounds per contest. He also played in ten games with the Hornets G League affiliate, the Greensboro Swarm this past season. There, Scott posted 17.4 points, 6.9 rebounds, and 2.8 assists per game while shooting 53% from the field and 34% from three-point land.

Allegri spent the first three seasons of his career at UNC Greensboro before rounding out the final two years of his eligibility at Eastern Washington. For his career, the 6'7", 215-pound forward averaged 8.8 points, four rebounds, and 1.3 assists per game.

Sims, a Charlotte native, played his college ball at UNC Wilmington where he amassed 1,360 points, 539 rebounds, and 174 assists.

Mensah was a key piece to San Diego State's success over the last few years, particularly on the defensive end where he averaged 1.6 blocks and 0.6 steals per contest.
