Hornets Win Season Finale Against Cleveland 106-95

The Charlotte Hornets finish with a 27-55 record

That was a perfect way to end a very disappointing season. The Charlotte Hornets beat the Cleveland Cavaliers 106-95 with key young players achieving career games.

The Cavaliers were resting players with an impending playoff appearance. However, Charlotte weren't a perfect picture of health, look at this lengthy injury report

However, the Hornets got the job done despite a slow start in the 1st Quarter going down 25-17. They played better in the 2nd Quarter, but didn't take the lead until midway through the 4th quarter. The Cavs who benched Mobley and Allen after the 1st quarter ran were out of gas, the Hornets took full advantage.

Player of the Game for Hornets: C Mark Williams

There is an argument that can be made that Bryce McGowens should get this honor, but Williams contributed a better all-round game with making some impactful defensive plays. Williams recorded his first 20pt 10rb game and finished the year out strong. Williams should continue to develop for the Hornets and be the center that this franchise has tried finding for several years.
