The Charlotte Hornets have reappointed Jordan Surenkamp as the Greensboro Swarm head coach for the 2023-24 season. After acting as head video coordinator from 2019-2021, Surenkamp took on the role of Swarm head coach last season leading them to an 11-21 record. His time working with 2022 draft selections Mark Williams and Bryce McGowens early in the season was integral to help get them up to NBA speed and able to play a role for the Hornets later in the regular season.

The Greensboro Swarm G-League team have emerged as a key part of Charlotte's player development pathway, with President of Basketball Operations Mitch Kupchak likening it to the MLB's Minor League system.
