Lakers Land Mo Bamba in Trade with Magic

Los Angeles makes a move for another big man.

The Lakers have been active at the trade deadline, getting started a couple of weeks back with their trade with Washington for Rui Hachimura.

Earlier today, they moved Thomas Bryant to Denver in exchange for Davon Reed and second-round draft picks in 2025, 2026, and 2029. Now, they've agreed to a deal with the Orlando Magic sending Patrick Beverly out for Mo Bamba.

Bamba isn't much of an offensive threat as he is averaging just 7.3 points on the year and is shooting only 49% from the field. However, he does make an impact on the defensive end of the floor, particularly in his ability to protect the rim (1.4 bpg in career).
