It's been a quiet couple of months since the NBA Draft for the Charlotte Hornets but on Saturday afternoon they agreed to a three-year, $48 million deal with restricted free agent P.J. Washington, according to Adrian Wojnarowski of ESPN.

Washington was the 12th overall pick by the Hornets in the 2019 NBA Draft and has increased his production and value each year with the organization. This past season, Washington played in and started 73 games, marking the most of his career in a single season. With Miles Bridges out, Washington took full advantage of extra opportunities on the offensive end of the floor and posted a new career high in points per game (15.7).

Washington will likely start the first ten games of the 2023-24 season, but once Bridges returns from suspension, he will likely slide into his role off the bench which he excelled at during his first three seasons in the league.
