Report | Details of the Salary Miles Bridges Was Requesting in Extension Talks

After the two parties were far apart in salary demands Miles Bridges signed the $7.9 million qualifying offer. Details of the salary demands from Bridges' camp have now been reported by Jake Fischer of Yahoo! Sports.
One year later, it’s no surprise a similar market didn’t materialize for Bridges, who was seeking upward of $25 million in average annual value from the Hornets this July, league sources told Yahoo Sports. Charlotte and Bridges’ representation were far enough apart in negotiations that Bridges swiftly took the qualifying offer not even 24 hours into free agency.
After sitting out the entire 2022-23 season due to domestic violence allegations demanding a contract in the $25 million per year range may come as a surprise to fans. If Bridges' camp would not negotiate, it's understandable why an impasse was reached. Bridges has now bet on himself to have a positive 2023-24 season and remain injury free to earn a larger pay day next season (While missing 10 games for a suspension).
