Score Predictions for Hornets vs Cavaliers

Our staff picks who wins tonight's game between Charlotte and Cleveland.

Schuyler Callihan: Cavaliers 121, Hornets 105

The Cavs have too much offensive firepower for the Hornets to keep up. No LaMelo Ball? No Gordon Hayward? And probably no Dennis Smith Jr.? Yeah, I mean, I don't think there's much else to say about this matchup. Cleveland rolls.

Ian Black: Cavaliers 116, Hornets 112

The Hornets come into this game having the third-worst offensive rating in the NBA and having won once in their last ten games. The Cavaliers have the worst defensive rating in the NBA and have lost 5 in a row. Something’s gotta give. I’m inclined to think that Charlotte will be able to cover the +9.5 point spread- especially if Jarrett Allen doesn’t play. Against a Cavs offense led by Donovan Mitchell and Darius Garland’s combined 51.4 pgg though, the injury-riddled Hornets are going to have their hands full.!

Matt Alquiza: Cavaliers 115, Hornets 98

The Hornets have the worst offensive rating in the NBA over the last 10 games. The Cavs have a bottom 10 defense in the last 10 games. The stoppable force meets a movable object tonight, and I’m going to ride with the movable object. Garland and Mitchell will be too much for the depleted Hornets backcourt and the Cavs will cruise to an easy victory ending their losing streak.

Desmond Johnson: Cavaliers 119, Hornets 100

Hornets are in a bad place right now. I doubt LaMelo plays for awhile due to re-injuring his left ankle and the Hornets legit feel like they are intentionally unintentionally trying to enter the Victor Wenbamyawa sweepstakes. Cavs are playing well and could end up a top 4 seed in East. Give me the Cavs pulling away early in this one.
