Score Predictions for Hornets vs Pistons

Our staff picks who will win tonight's game between Charlotte and Detroit.

Schuyler Callihan: Hornets 117, Pistons 105

The Pistons have had the Hornets' number this season, but that changes tonight. Charlotte is playing its best basketball of the season and are healthy (for the most part) for the first time all year. Mark Williams follows up his 20-rebound game with another dominant performance, leading to an easy win for the bugs.

James Plowright: Hornets 119, Pistons 103

Charlotte is playing with confidence right now, even if they do miss PJ Washington I expect their defense to get the job done. The Hornets have the league's number 7th ranked defense since the All-Star break and with the Pistons missing key players like Cade Cunningham, Duren and Stewart and Bogdanovic questionable, Detroit will struggle to score. LaMelo Ball is going to toy with James Wiseman and Marvin Bagley in PnR coverage, it will be fun to watch.

Desmond Johnson: Hornets 115, Pistons 105

This madness of the Hornets winning games has to stop, right? RIGHT? Maybe not. There are only a few teams worse than the Hornets and the Pistons are one of them. Pistons will be missing Cade Cunningham and Nerlens Noel and Jalen Duren is questionable. Hornets should be able to crash the glass and dominate the boards in this one even with PJ Washington and Cody Martin out. While it's nice to see this young ground notch consecutive wins, it's just like Charlotte to play themselves out of a top 3 draft pick so I'm going with the Hornets in a home win.

Ian Black: Hornets 117, Pistons 110

The Hornets currently have the third-longest active win streak in the NBA, which is wild! The Pistons took both of the prior matchups this season, but the new-look Hornets behind the power of rookie center Mark Williams are in a great spot to keep the winning going. Whether or not the winning is a net-positive, it’s nice to see the current squad putting a series of cohesive and successful games together.
