In this story:

Friday morning, Hornets Sports & Entertainment unveiled the renderings for the renovations that Spectrum Center will undergo over the next two years. To ensure that the renovations will be completed on time, Spectrum Center will be closed from May to September for the next two summers. All renovations are expected to be completed ahead of the 2025-26 NBA season.

“We are thrilled to share initial renovation plans with our guests, who have been top of mind at every stage throughout the reimagining process,” said Hornets Sports & Entertainment Executive Vice President & Spectrum Center General Manager Donna Julian. “We have always viewed Spectrum Center as an important community asset that brings people together and has tremendous economic impact for our city. Re!magine Spectrum Center touches nearly every aspect of the arena and allows us to remain the premier destination for sports and entertainment in the Carolinas, drawing more high-profile events and thus more patrons to Uptown Charlotte, positively benefitting nearby restaurants, bars, hotels and other local businesses.”

Chief Revenue Officer Jacob Gallagher did state there is expected to be an increase in ticket prices, anywhere from 10-20% based on location of seating.

Check out the renderings below.

Expanded Arena Bowl

Arena Bowl

The arena bowl will be adding 2,500 seats, moving them from the bottom of the NBA in lower level seating to the top ten. To make this happen, they will reconfigure the founders level. All seats will be replaced. One piece of feedback from the fans that will be implemented is better visibility into the bowl from the concourse level. You will be able to better see the action while not in your seat.
