Spread & Over/Under Predictions for Hornets at Pistons

Can the Hornets cover the spread?
In this story:

Each game day, we at All Hornets will release an article on our thoughts on the spread and the over/under of Charlotte Hornets games. The star ratings next to the play describe the overall confidence in that particular play.

Star ratings:

1 Star - Not very confident

2 Star - A little confident

3 Star - Fairly confident

4 Star - Very confident

5 Star - Should be a lock to happen

Spread: Pistons -1.5

4 Star play on the Hornets: I know I had the Hornets on a big play last night, but that's not going to keep from putting a big play on them again. This is simply a matter of the wrong team being favored here. Charlotte is bad, but man, Detroit is bad, bad. The Hornets have played much better as they've returned close to full strength and this is one they know they can grab on the road.

Over/Under: 240.5

2 Star play on the under: This game features the 28th and 29th-ranked defense in the league but the Pistons aren't shooting at near as good over the last couple of weeks. Factor that in with this being the second leg of a back-to-back and the third game and the third game in four days for the Hornets, fatigue will be a factor. We might push right up against it, but this game should stay under.

My picks for the season

ATS: 14-14 (50%)

O/U: 18-10 (64%)

Overall: 32-24 (57%)
