Bucks Defense Struggles in Jazz’s 132-116 Road Win
The Utah Jazz took care of business on Monday night against the Milwaukee Bucks, as they walked out with a 132-116 victory to lift them to their 18th win of the regular season. Their overall record now stands at a much improved 18-20, only a half-game back from the final Play-In spot in the Western Conference.
The Bucks were missing a key component in Damian Lillard tonight, who was inactive for personal reasons. While Milwaukee was able to put a valiant effort on the offensive side of the ball, shooting 47.2% from deep, it was on the other side of the rock where those shortcomings became apparent.
In total, the Jazz had six players scoring in double figures, highlighted by Lauri Markkanen and Jordan Clarkson, both posting 21 points. The team managed to drill 20 three-pointers at an elite 45.5% clip. Without a presence like Lillard to match, it was difficult for Milwaukee to keep up the pace. Giannis Antetokounmpo still managed to handle his own, putting up a triple-double worth 25 points, 10 rebounds, and 11 assists.
The Jazz were also able to play mistake-free basketball, limited to only ten turnovers on the night. Maintaining that type of efficiency with ball control combined with shooting the ball made for an all-around successful night for Utah.
The Jazz will return home on Wednesday when they take on the reigning champion Denver Nuggets at 7 PM in the Delta Center.
