The Utah Jazz and the Phoenix Suns are battling it out for the top seed in the West. As of the time of the article, the two teams are tied for the top spot, but the Suns hold the tiebreaker over the Jazz. Today, let's compare their remaining schedules and preview the final stretch of the regular season.

Utah Jazz Upcoming Schedule

5/5 vs San Antonio Spurs

5/7 vs Denver Nuggets

5/8 vs Houston Rockets

5/10 @ Golden State Warriors

5/12 @ Portland Trail Blazers

5/14 @ OKC Thunder

5/16 @ Sacramento Kings

According to Tanktathon, Utah's remaining schedule is one of the easier remaining schedules in the league - it ranks #23 in remaining strength of schedule. However, the Jazz are still without All-Stars Donovan Mitchell and Mike Conley. Until the Jazz get their backcourt healthy, every game could be a battle.

If the Jazz are going to be the #1 seed, they have to take care of business against the Spurs, Rockets, Thunder, and Kings. Then they'll have to win at least one, probably two games, against either the Warriors, Blazers, or Nuggets. Remember, they have to have a full 1.0 game lead on the Suns to be the #1 seed.

Phoenix Suns Upcoming Schedule

5/5 @ Atlanta Hawks

5/7 vs New York Knicks

5/9 @ LA Lakers

5/11 @ Golden State Warriors

5/13 vs Portland Trail Blazers

5/15 @ San Antonio Spurs

5/16 @ San Antonio Spurs

According to Tankathon, the Suns remaining schedule is one of the most difficult in the NBA - it ranks #7 in remaining strength of schedule. The Suns won't have a night off the rest of the way.

If the Suns can go 5-2 against their remaining schedule, they will probably be the #1 seed for the playoffs.
