Jazz-76ers Injury Report: Harris, Melton, Covington Status Unveiled

The Utah Jazz are taking on the second leg of a back-to-back after a brutal loss on Friday.

The Utah Jazz are looking to get back on track Saturday night as they take on MVP candidate Joel Embiid and the Philadelphia 76ers. This contest will be their second of a three-game road stint, coming off a back-to-back after getting run by the Boston Celtics.

Thankfully for Utah, it looks to be a game in which the squad remains fully available. Each team revealed their injury reports ahead of the matchup, revealing no surprises for the Jazz:

Utah Jazz:

Taylor Hendricks- OUT (G-League)

Brice Sensabaugh- OUT (G-League)

Josh Christopher- OUT (two-way)

Johnny Juzang- OUT (two-way)

Micah Potter- OUT (two-way)

Philadelphia 76ers:

Tobias Harris- OUT (ankle)

De’Anthony Melton- OUT (back)

Robert Covington- QUESTIONABLE (knee)

While the Jazz remain fully healthy, it does mean Taylor Hendricks and Brice Sensabaugh will be on assignment in the G-League to work with the Salt Lake City Stars. Both rookies have combined for a total of 180 minutes played through about a third of the way through the season, with Utah heavily focusing on their development in the lower ranks instead of throwing them into the fire on day one.

As for the 76ers, they’ll be without a few key names in the lineup, most notably with Tobias Harris sidelined with an ankle injury he suffered on Friday night vs. the New York Knicks. De’Anthony Melton will also be inactive for Philadelphia with a back injury, while Robert Covington remains questionable with a knee injury.

The Jazz and 76ers tipoff at 5:30 PM MT in the Wells Fargo Center in what can hopefully be a bounce-back game for Utah in a quick turnaround.
