Jazz Unveil Injury Report Ahead of 76ers Summer League Game
On Wednesday night, the Utah Jazz and Philadelphia 76ers face off in their second game in the 2023 Summer League at the Delta Center. However, the Jazz will be missing some key contributors heading into the contest.
Taylor Hendricks (hamstring) and Brice Sensabaugh (knee) are listed as out for the second straight game while Johnny Juzang (ankle) is probable.
The Jazz will be looking to bounce back after losing to the Oklahoma City Thunder on Monday night, 85-75. Despite the loss, Utah had some bright spots that fans should be happy about moving forward.
First-round pick Keyonte George led Utah in scoring in his NBA debut. The No. 16 overall pick in the 2023 draft finished the game with 18 points while dishing out four assists on 7-for-16 shooting from the floor. Although George shined in his first game as a Jazzman, one still has to wonder where he fits into the rotation with the current log jam that exists at the one and two spots.
Currently, the Jazz have six capable guards that will be battling for playing time when the season gets underway. Where it stands, Collin Sexton, Talen-Horton-Tucker, and Kris Dunn are penciled in at the one, while Jordan Clarkson, Ochai Agbaji, and George are slated at the two. Unless there’s a roster reshuffle before opening night, George may find it difficult to find his way onto the court to start his young career.
As for the 76ers, there are no names that pop off the screen on this year's Summer League roster due to not owning a first-round pick in this year's draft. However, shooting guard Jaden Springer is a player to keep an eye on.
The 2021 first-round pick suited up in sixteen games last year for the 76ers and is arguably the best wing defender on Philadelphia’s roster. Tip-off is at 7:00 pm MDT.
