On Saturday night, the Utah Jazz face off against the Los Angeles Clippers in the Las Vegas Summer League at the Thomas and Mack Center. Utah will be without two of its 2023 draft picks again — Taylor Hendricks (hamstring) and Brice Sensabaugh (knee). Also, Luka Samanic will miss the contest with a knee contusion.

The Jazz will be looking to continue the momentum after winning their first game of the summer versus the Memphis Grizzlies on Thursday. Led by Ochai Agbaji and Keyonte George, the Jazz were able to get the win in decisive fashion, 98-83.

Agbaji led the team in scoring while also posting a double-double with 22 points and 13 rebounds. The second-year Jazzman is expected to be a fixture in Utah’s rotation this upcoming year and is expected to play in Las Vegas.

The newest member of the Jazz was in Salt Lake City to support his new team. The John Collins exchange that sent Rudy Gay to the Atlanta Hawks became official on Friday. Agbaji took note that Collins was there courtside supporting his teammates.

"I mean, for him to not have any workouts or anything going on and still come out to summer league and see some guys that he'll be playing with and all that, it means a lot," Agbaji said. "It means a lot for us. I know it means a lot for the rookies, too, that he'll take his own time to come and watch us."

As for the Clippers, a player to keep an eye on is the 30th overall pick of the 2023 NBA draft, Kobe Brown. The first-year player will be making his Clipper debut coming off a year where he averaged 15.8 ppg at Missouri while being selected to the All-SEC first-team.

Tip-off is at 8:00 pm MDT.
