Jazz-Nets Injury Report: Ben Simmons Status Officially Revealed

The former All-Star guard is making his return to the floor on Monday night.

The Utah Jazz have the opportunity to extend their new win streak to three games in their road date with the Brooklyn Nets on Monday night. As they now sit at a solid 24-23 regular season record, a win tonight would give Utah a much-needed two-game lift over .500 before traveling to take on the red-hot New York Knicks come Tuesday.

Ahead of the matchup, the Nets have finally received some good news concerning former All-Star Ben Simmons. After being out of the lineup for close to three months now with a back injury, he's now officially off the IR and active ahead of this contest.

The Nets and Jazz both unveiled their injury reports before Monday's game, showing no signs of Simmons on the list:

Utah Jazz:

Taylor Hendricks- OUT

Brice Sensabaugh- OUT

Johnny Juzang- OUT

Micah Potter- OUT

Jason Preston- OUT

Brooklyn Nets:

Dorian Finney-Smith- OUT (ankle)

Dariq Whitehead- OUT (lower leg surgery)

Day'Ron Sharpe- OUT (knee)

As for the Jazz, there are no surprises. Taylor Hendricks and Brice Sensabaugh continue to get their reps in the G-League, with each of their three two-way guys joining as well. With the trade deadline nearing, it'll be interesting to see if and how Utah opts to open up some minutes down the rotation to get their youth some playing time.

There's no Simmons for the Nets, but a few other entries to note. The defensive forward Dorian Finney-Smith will remain inactive as he deals with a messed up ankle, ansd Dariq Whitehead and Day'Ron Sharpe continue to miss time for their longer-term injuries.

The Jazz and Nets will tip off in Barclays Center on Monday at 5:30 PM MT.
