Jazz-Spurs Injury Report Revealed, Utah Looks to Avoid 6th-Straight Loss
The Utah Jazz will have the opportunity to get back in the left column as the San Antonio Spurs travel for a rare Sunday home game in Salt Lake City. Utah is fresh off of an ugly loss vs. the Charlotte Hornets on Thursday but will have the chance to right the ship against another team struggling in the league standings.
Since the trade deadline, things have looked far from pretty for the Jazz. They have yet to pick up a win since shipping off Kelly Olynyk, Simone Fontecchio, and Ochai Agbaji, going 0-5 in their stretch without them. However, with a game against a team eyeing another potential top-three draft pick on the horizon, we could finally see that streak come to a close.
Both teams unveiled their injury reports heading into the contest, showcasing very few inactive players listed on either side:
Utah Jazz:
Otto Porter Jr.- OUT (personal reasons)
San Antonio Spurs:
Marcus Morris Sr.- OUT (personal reasons)
Charles Bassey- OUT (ACL)
For the Jazz, the injury slate looks very positive. Outside of Otto Porter, Utah will have a fully healthy lineup ready to go at home. Porter continues to stay on the roster for the time being but is reportedly back at home evaluating his options for a potential buyout. Expect Porter's name to stick on the IR until a decision is made on his future.
As for the Spurs, it also looks to be notably healthy. Marcus Morris is another player looking into a potential buyout, so he won't be suiting up on Sunday either. Bassey continues to rehab from a torn ACL he suffered in December, so don't expect to see him on the floor.
The Jazz and Spurs will tip off in the Delta Center at 6 PM MT, where Utah will be desperately looking for their first win in close to three weeks.
