Report: Will Hardy Taps Evan Bradds to Coach Jazz Summer League

The summer league for the Utah Jazz is just around the corner.

Assistant coach Evan Bradds will be coaching the 2023 Utah Jazz summer league squad, according to The Deseret News' Sarah Todd.

“Jazz assistant coach Evan Bradds will be the Jazz's summer league coach this year according to team sources,” Todd tweeted.

Bradds was hired by Jazz head coach Will Hardy in 2022 to serve as a developmental coach. The connection goes back to Hardy’s time with the Boston Celtics, where he spent two seasons as a video assistant with his former employer before being promoted to the player enhancement staff.

The Jazz will have some new faces this summer, with three first-round picks on tap for the June 29 NBA draft. Whether Utah parlays a pick to move up in the draft remains to be seen, but expect the rumor mill to be hot and heavy as we approach the draft.

Also, it’s been reported that Ochai Abaji and Luka Samanic will be playing in the 2023 summer league. Abaji's participation was somewhat of a surprise, as he made big strides in the second half of last year. Entering his second year, he’ll be a candidate to start at the shooting guard position.

The games run on July 3, 5, and 6 in Salt Lake City at the Delta Center.
