Jazz-Wizards Injury Report: Markkanen, Kessler Status Revealed

It looks like the Utah Jazz might be a bit shorthanded during this home contest.
In this story:

It's been a rough stretch for the Utah Jazz lately, but their next matchup against the Washington Wizards presents a golden opportunity for this squad to stamp a W in the books. While the Jazz have been stuck in an underwhelming 1-8 stretch over their past nine games, it doesn't stack up with the Wizards' recent abysmal twelve-game losing streak, failing to win a game during February.

These two teams have matched up once during the year, with the Jazz bringing home a win against the Wizards, 123-108, in late January. Now, Utah will look to sweep their season series and avoid being the team to break their extensive twelve-game run.

Both teams unveiled their injury reports ahead of the matchup, with the Jazz showcasing a couple of key names who will ultimately be inactive for Monday:

Utah Jazz:

Lauri Markkanen- OUT (quad)

Walker Kessler- OUT (foot)

Otto Porter- OUT (not with team)

Johnny Juzang- OUT (two-way)

Micah Potter- OUT (two-way)

Jason Preston- OUT (two-way)

Washington Wizards:

Patrick Baldwin- QUESTIONABLE (back)

Isaiah Livers- OUT (hip)

The Jazz will be without two important pieces in Lauri Markkanen and Walker Kessler. Lauri is dealing with a right quad contusion, while Walker has suffered from a right foot sprain. Otto Porter's status also remains foggy with no buyout agreement being announced, but don't expect to see him suiting up for Utah regardless.

As for the Wizards, they'll be relatively healthy, but they'll be without Isaiah Livers as he rehabs from his season-ending hip injury.

The Jazz and Wizards will tip off in the Delta Center tonight at 7 PM MT, with both teams hungry to pivot off of their recent shortcomings.
