Report: Isaiah Thomas Joins Suns After G-League Stint With Jazz

The former NBA All-Star has finally been called up to the league after some work in the G-League.
In this story:

After spending a short four games with the Utah Jazz G-League affiliate, the Salt Lake City Stars, Isaiah Thomas has agreed to join the Phoenix Suns on a 10-day contract, according to Shams Charania of The Athletic.

Thomas had a wildly productive, while short, stint with the Stars, averaging a strong 33 points per game. This marks the first time we'll see Thomas back on an NBA floor since 2022 when he suited up for the Charlotte Hornets.

The veteran guard will have the opportunity to establish himself into the Suns' 15-man rotation heading into the postseason. He previously played for Phoenix back in the 2014-2015 NBA season, and now will have a second run with the franchise almost a decade later.

Now 35 years old, Thomas was previously a 2x All-Star for the Boston Celtics from 2016-2017, reaching the Eastern Conference Finals and even MVP conversations during his last year with the franchise before being sent to the Cleveland Cavaliers in the infamous Kyrie Irving deal.

Keep an eye on how Thomas performs in his role across the coming days to see if he's able to generate some staying power in Phoenix.
