Jazz-Pelicans Injury Report: Kris Dunn Status Update

The Utah Jazz and New Orleans Pelicans face off in a Western Conference showdown.

The Utah Jazz will be looking to get back to their winning ways when they face the New Orleans Pelicans on Tuesday night. Utah may be missing a key contributor heading into the contest.

Starting point guard Kris Dunn (illness) is listed as questionable for Utah. The Pelicans have a clean injury report and will be playing at full strength.

The Jazz are in the midst of a two-game skid after a six-game winning streak. In order for Utah to get back on track, they’ll need to get off to better starts.

In the two losses the Jazz were losing to the Oklahoma City Thunder by 19 points in the first quarter and trailed the Houston Rockets by 17 points in the second quarter. Utah came back to tie the Thunder and even took the lead against the Rockets, but it was too little too late. How Utah starts the game will be something to watch closely.

This will be the third time the two teams have faced off this season. Utah narrowly won the first two contests by a combined seven points. Both of those games were in Salt Lake City, and the Pelicans were missing CJ McCollum. This will be a more difficult challenge with the Pelicans at full strength paired with Utah playing away from home,

The Jazz have struggled on the road this season, posting a 7-16 record. The Pelicans are 12-9 this year at home but have lost their last two out of three games at Smoothie King Center. The oddsmakers are going with the Pelicans in this one and have them pegged as a 6.5-point favorite. The tip-off is at 6:00 p..m MST.
