Jordan Clarkson's days may be numbered in Salt Lake City.

Another day and more rumors relating to the Utah Jazz. The latest comes from NBA senior insider Chris Haynes of The Bleacher Report, who claims the Jazz are open for business with Jordan Clarkson being available for the right price.

Jordan Clarkson, that is a player that’s name I’m told is available.to be had for the right package, the right deal, the right assets. [The] Utah Jazz — they’re open to all scenerios, so they’re open for business.

At this stage, this shouldn't be a surprise to Jazz fans and was likely the plan when Clarkson signed a three-year deal last summer. Utah front-loaded the contract making him more appealable to contenders with cap space concerns.

Clarkson’s cap number is 23.5 million this year, but that number goes down to 14.1 million next season and then to 14.3 million in 2025-26. They’ll certainly be a market for the former Sixth Man of the Year at those numbers.

Also, with the way the roster is shaping up, trading Clarkson frees up developmental minutes at the guard position. Players such as Ochai Agbaji and Keyonte George's path to playing time would be much less congested.

According to Haynes, despite the rumors about his future in Salt Lake City, Clarkson still likes playing for the Jazz.

“I’m told Jordan Clarkson loves being in Utah, so he’s not looking to be moved,” Haynes said.

Jazz fans can anticipate more rumors moving forward with CEO Danny Ainge running the show. A lot of it is smoke and mirrors, while some of it has substance. This one most likely will come to fruition at some point this season. Stay tuned.
