Utah Jazz: NBA Championship Odds
The Utah Jazz improved to 20-5 on Tuesday with a 122-108 victory over the Boston Celtics. The win, which was broadcast nationally on TNT, tied the best start for the Jazz in franchise history. Donovan Mitchell led all scorers on Tuesday night with 36 points on 12/23 shooting. As the Jazz stand alone atop the NBA standings, let's check in with the oddsmakers to see what they are saying about Utah's NBA championship odds.
I caught up with with Covers spokesperson Pete Watt, you can read the updated NBA title odds on Covers website. They have covered sports betting for over 25 years.
"Before the season began, Quin Snyder’s team were ranked outsiders; their odds of +4000 put them way down the list in terms of favoritism and carried an implied probability of just 2.44% that they would win the championship," Watt said. "However, it seems that the oddsmakers are now sitting up and taking notice following Utah’s recent run and they have slashed their odds of winning into as short as +1200. Put simply, this means their implied chance has risen to 7.69% and the Jazz are now fifth-favorites to win it."
As of the time of this article, the Lakers, Nets, Clippers, and Bucks have better odds to win the NBA championship. Below are the odds to with the 2021 NBA championship as of February, 10:
LA Lakers - +250
Brooklyn Nets - +350
LA Clippers - +500
Milwaukee Bucks - +800
Utah Jazz - +1,200
Philadelphia 76ers - +1,400
Boston Celtics - +2,500
Denver Nuggets - +2,500
