Jazz Keep Rolling, Thump Bucks, 132-116: Three Key Takeaways

The Utah Jazz continue to turn heads around the league.

The Utah Jazz defeated the Milwaukee Bucks 132-116 in an onslaught from the opening tip. Team assistance was plentiful, and there was no doubt who would succeed in this contest early in the first quarter.

What did we learn? Let's review my key takeaways from the Jazz's big win.

First-Half Demolition

The Jazz were definitely raining three-point shots in abundance while connecting on 16-for-31 in the first half alone. During this barrage, seven different Jazzmen connected on a three-pointer while six members made multiple shots from a distance.

The Jazz led by 31 points at half-time. This marked the 15th time in franchise history that the Jazz led by at least 30 points in the first half, and they're 15-0 when this feat occurs.

Every Jazz Player Registered Positive Ratings

Coach Will Hardy awarded 10 Jazzmen playing time, and everyone registered positive ratings, led by Jordan Clarkson's +13, Kris Dunn, and Ochai Agbaji's +11. Talk about a team on a mission.

The Jazz imposed their will in every way and flustered the Bucks to no end. I don't recall in recent memory when an entire road team posted such high ratings, and when the Jazz are clicking, they can compete with any team each and every night.

Rising Up the Standings

The Jazz now sport an 18-20 record and currently hold the No. 11 spot of 15 teams in the Western Conference. Utah has won eight of its last 10 games and are only 1.5 games out of the No. 8 seed.

There is no reason to consider tanking, especially with the capital and future draft picks available to "Trader Danny." The Jazz have turned up the heat at the right time.

Next on the Jazz schedule is a visit against the defending NBA Champion Denver Nuggets in SLC. Tune in Wednesday night at 8:00 PM for this well-anticipated battle.
