Utah Jazz to add Ersan Ilyasova
ESPN's Jordan Schultz has reported that pending final blood work, the Utah Jazz will sign free agent Ersan Ilyasova.
Ilyasova played in 63 games last season with the Milwaukee Bucks, helping them get to the Eastern Conference Semi-Finals. He averaged 6.6-points, 1-assist, and 5-rebounds in 15-minutes per game with Milwaukee during the 2019-2020 season.
He has played for six NBA teams in his career, including the Milwaukee Bucks, Philadelphia 76ers, Atlanta Hawks, Detroit Pistons, Orlando Magic, and the Oklahoma City Thunder. Ilyasova has also played his in his fair share of games internationally, suiting up for Ülkerspor, AXA FC Barcelona, Regal FC Barcelona, Fenerbache, and Anadolu Efes. He has also made appearances for the Turkish International Team during the 2010 and 2019 FIBA World Cup's. Ilyasova is known for his three point shooting and aggressiveness while on the floor.
It is reported that Ilyasova will sign the Veteran Minimum, which is a one-year $2,564,753 contract. He is likely to play behind Derrick Favors, adding a reliable three-point shooting big man to Utah's arsenal. Ilyasova will be the third Turkish NBA player to suit up for the Jazz, with the other two being Mehmet Okur and Enes Kanter.
