Jazz Keep Winning Streak Alive and Well in 132-105 Blowout vs. Pacers

The recent Utah Jazz winning streak has now extended to a strong six games.

Things just continued to go the Utah Jazz’s way as they kept their hot streak going against the Indiana Pacers in a 132-105 blowout on Monday night. This game marks their sixth win in a row (highest streak of the season), as well as coming out on top in 15 of their last 19.

For Indiana, it was an injury-riddled contest in the eventual loss. All-Star guard Tyrese Haliburton remained out in this game due to a hamstring injury, along with Bruce Brown, Bennedict Mathurin, and Aaron Nesmith, all sidelined. As a result, Utah took full advantage.

It was Lauri Markkanen and Collin Sexton who stepped up on the offensive end for Utah, each posting over 30 points. While Markkanen has seen his fair share of 30-point bombs, this marks Sexton’s first time hitting the number of the season, combined with three rebounds and five assists.

As a unit, the Jazz did a number offensively. They shot incredibly from all angles of the floor, almost posting 50-40-90 splits on the night in the process. All in all, they shot 55.6% from the floor, 44.0% from deep, and 88.6% from the line. When a team can hit their shots that proficiently, it’ll be hard for anyone to stop them.

With this win, the Jazz keep adding pressure to the Western Conference standings. Utah now sits at a 22-20 record for the season, sitting just a half-game back from the 8-seeded Phoenix Suns. After starting off looking as if this squad were just in for another lottery selection, we’ve seen a complete 180.

The Jazz will hope to continue their win streak alive in their extended home stretch on Wednesday, with the Golden State Warriors visiting the Delta Center at 7 PM MT.
