In a recent article, the Bleacher Report ranked the five best and worst lineups in the NBA this season. The starting lineup for the Utah Jazz made the cut at number five. Of those lineups in the top five, Utah's five have played more minutes together than the four lineups ranked in front of them. Considering sample size and its impact this early in the season, number five is an impressive number for the Jazz. Below are the top five lineups according to the official NBA website:

5. Utah Jazz

Donovan Mitchell Rudy Gobert Utah Jazz against the New York Knicks

Lineup: Mike Conley, Donovan Mitchell, Royce O'Neale, Bojan Bogdanovic and Rudy Gobert

Net rating: +16.3 net rating, 260 minutes played

4. Los Angeles Lakers

Lineup: Dennis Schroder, Kentavious Caldwell-Pope, LeBron James, Anthony Davis and Marc Gasol

Net rating: +17.1 net rating, 232 minutes played

3. Sacramento Kings

Lineup: De'Aaron Fox, Tyrese Haliburton, Buddy Hield, Harrison Barnes and Richaun Holmes

Net rating: +23.5 net rating, 94 minutes played

Remember what I said about sample size? The limited minutes played together could be a factor here.

2. LA Clippers

Lineup: Patrick Beverley, Paul George, Kawhi Leonard, Nicolas Batum and Serge Ibaka

Net rating: +25.4 net rating, 167 minutes played

1. San Antonio Spurs

Lineup: Dejounte Murray, Patty Mills, Devin Vassell, Rudy Gay, Jakob Poeltl

Net rating: +28.9 net rating, 82 minutes played

The secret sauce for the Jazz this season has been Mike Conley. His improvement this season is the one of reasons, if not main reason, for Utah's improvement so far this season. The Jazz have a second lineup in the top 10. When Mike Conley, Rudy Gobert, Jordan Clarkson, Joe Ingles, and Georges Niang are in the game, they have a net rating of 4.8 in 94 minutes played which ranks #10 in the NBA.
