Despite not receiving the coveted honors of being named an All-Star earlier this season, the Sacramento Kings have seen some historic production from big man Domantas Sabonis in 2023-24.

In his second full season with the squad, the eight-year center produced some of the best numbers we've seen throughout his time in the league. With one more contest to go, Sabonis is averaging 19.4 points, alongside career-bests in rebounds (13.7) and assists (8.2) without missing a single game for the first time in his career.

It's inevitably led him into this season's All-NBA discussions, even while the Kings haven't seen the same results in the Western Conference standings from a year ago. Sabonis got his deserved nod on the 2023's third team and could be set to do it for a second time in a row sooner rather than later.

In Bleacher Report's final All-NBA predictions for the 2023-24 year, Dan Favale dished his thoughts on what each of the teams will look like to close out the regular season, with Sabonis gaining his spot on the third team.

"Sabonis has emerged as a lock himself," Favale said. "It's fine if you think plenty of other players are better in a vacuum and more suited to postseason basketball, but this is a regular-season honor. Sabonis has entered points, rebounds and assists territory only ever explored by Wilt Chamberlain while logging the second-most minutes."

Sabonis made headlines earlier this season when embarking on his historic 61-game double-double streak that stretched most of this year. It places him with the seventh-longest double-double streak in league history, right below Wilt Chamberlain's 68, and the best we've witnessed since the 1976 NBA-ABA merger.

When setting league history only seen by the likes of Wilt Chamberlain and other Hall of Fame players, it's easy to see how some All-NBA credit this reasonable, and borderline pre-determined for Sabonis.

Keep an eye on official word to soon be announced from the league surrounding the All-NBA status of the Kings' own, but don't be surprised to see his name among one of the prestigious 15 soon to be revealed.
