The Sacramento Kings had a hectic regular season filled with ups and downs, but after Sunday's 121-82 victory over the Portland Trail Blazers, their 2023-24 season has nearly drawn to a close. The Kings finished their season with three consecutive games at home but were only able to win the final one against a tanking Portland.

The Kings expectedly dominated Portland from the tip led by star De'Aaron Fox with a game-high 24 points in just 26 minutes, shooting an efficient 10-14 from the field and grabbing three steals. Fox's star teammate, Domantas Sabonis, wrapped up his historic season with a dominant performance, posting 18 points, 11 rebounds, and 9 assists.

After Sunday's win, Sacramento finishes ninth in the Western Conference at 46-36. The three-win decrease from last season will disappoint Kings fans, but in the hyper-competitive Western Conference, it was a difficult battle to get each of those wins. Many fans will look at the poor losses throughout the season, but the many impressive wins should be the focus heading into a potential post-season run.

After 16 seasons of playoff-less basketball in Sacramento, Mike Brown has led the Kings to their second consecutive 40-win season and is two wins away from their second straight playoff berth. The Kings will face the Golden State Warriors in the play-in tournament on Tuesday for a win-or-go-home divisional matchup.
