The Sacramento Kings are fresh off an exciting statement win over the Los Angeles Lakers on Wednesday, taking home a 125-110 victory to make four straight. Ever since De’Aaron Fox has been healthy and lifted back into the starting lineup, the team has looked extremely poised and almost as if they’re back to their dominant selves from a season ago.

Kevin Huerter, who had a solid stat line of 28 points, four rebounds, and seven assists, hit the podium after the Kings' win against the Lakers. He spoke about the team's recent success, crediting complimentary chemistry and teammates being on the same page:

“Just being connected. I think that’s big. I think we’re more connected than ever. I think when we do mess up, we quickly know whose fault it was. We talk about it, coaches bring it up, everybody’s accountable. I’d say we’re connected in what we want to do defensively. We have really good team defense right now. Got guys pressuring the ball and starting with [De’Aaron] Fox, and Keon [Ellis] coming in, Davion obviously, when he’s out there, he does great, Chris [Duarte], his physicality. So, at the point of attack, we’ve been good, and then behind them, I just think we’ve been pretty connected with each other."

The Kings played extremely effectively on both ends of the floor, especially on the defensive end. Every member of the starting five posted two or more steals in the contest, highlighted by Fox and Harrison Barnes with four, with the team totaling a season-high 20.

When Sacramento makes their shots from the perimeter, moves the ball around effectively, and generates consistent stops on the other end, this team is one of the hardest to stop in the entire association. As long as we continue to see these dominating performances moving forward, this franchise is in good hands for the season ahead.

The Kings will look to keep their streak alive going into Friday's In-Season Tournament matchup against Victor Wembanyama and the San Antonio Spurs, who currently sit on the other end of the spectrum with an ugly six-game losing streak to their name.
