The Sacramento Kings went into the 2023-24 season with six games scheduled to be shown on TNT, an impressive increase from their two appearances the season prior. The Kings have been one of the most exciting teams to monitor since the start of the 2022-23 season, but Sacramento will lose one of their TNT spots in April.

The NBA is taking the Kings April 2nd matchup against the Los Angeles Clippers off of TNT, as the Golden State Warriors-Dallas Mavericks battle is taking their place. The Warriors, 19-23, have been utterly disappointing this season, but the league values the matchup of Stephen Curry and Luka Doncic far too much.

The Clippers, sitting at first in the Pacific Division, and the Kings, sitting in second, could be a pivotal matchup in early April, and the NBA and TNT stripping fans of that nationally televised matchup is a crime.

The Clippers are 2-0 against Sacramento this season, as L.A. has come alive as one of the best teams in the Western Conference. The Warriors, on the other hand, are a fringe playoff team that could be out of the picture altogether by April.

The Kings are already deprived of nationally televised matchups as a smaller market, but a star-studded matchup with the Clippers certainly deserves to be headlining.
