Kings G De'Aaron Fox Voted Fastest Player in 2023-24 NBA GM Survey
The Sacramento Kings finished the 2022-23 NBA season with the most efficient offense in league history. Their electric, fast-paced offense sparked this historic season for a historically struggling franchise.
The Kings offense runs through the All-NBA duo of G De'Aaron Fox and C Domantas Sabonis. Fox, 25, has developed into one of the elite point guards in the NBA, using his killer speed to tear through defenses.
In the annual NBA GM survey, all the general managers in the league were asked, "Which player is fastest with the ball?" An outstanding 57% of GMs answered Fox.
The only other player that received multiple votes was Memphis Grizzlies G Ja Morant, who won over 37% of voters. Morant was recognized as the fastest player in the 2022-23 survey, with Fox coming in second.
An All-Star appearance, All-NBA Third Team honors, and a Clutch Player of the Year Award must have swayed GMs to rethink their votes from last season and put Fox back on top.
Fox is the heart of the Kings' high-powered offense, as his ability to push the pace is a skill that cannot be taught. The 6'3" guard has videogame-like speed and uses it to punish defenders on a nightly basis.
While Fox has already broken out into an NBA star, expect the young guard to keep improving and moving up the ranks.
