Only a week ago, the Sacramento Kings decided to tweak the end of their bench depth with the cuts of C Nerlens Noel and C Neemias Queta. It effectively solidifies the team’s center rotation for the 2023-24 season with a collection of three bigs to rotate at the five.

However, they aren’t the only team in the Pacific Division taking some looks to their end of bench depth. According to Shams Charania of The Athletic, the Golden State Warriors are looking into adding former All-NBA C Dwight Howard to their roster.

Howard, who last played in Taiwan, is now eyeing his return to the NBA after a year overseas. His last appearance in the league was during the 2022-23 season with the Los Angeles Lakers, averaging 6.2 points and 5.9 rebounds in his 16 minutes a night.

This development comes after D12’s recent comments linking him to none other than the Kings. While Sacramento has since situated its depth chart for the position, all hope is not lost for an NBA return. Interested in finding a role to give him a pathway to compete for a championship, the opportunity may stem from Dub Nation.

With just over a month to go in the offseason, much time remains for Howard to find a home for what may be his 19th year in the NBA.
