Kings Heartbroken After Bucks' Damian Lillard Buzzer Beater

The Kings took the Bucks to overtime, but Lillard sent them back to Sacramento with a crazy game-winner.

In a pivotal matchup against the Milwaukee Bucks, the Sacramento Kings forced overtime on the road despite some things not going their way. After standout sophomore Keegan Murray exited the game early with right hip irritation, it got worse for Sacramento as HC Mike Brown received two technical fouls and an ejection after losing his temper with a referee.

The Kings had their struggles but ultimately came seconds away from a statement road victory. After De'Aaron Fox knocked down a free throw to take a two-point lead with just five seconds left, Bucks superstar Damian Lillard decided to take matters into his own hands with a buzzer-beating game-winner from long range.

Despite the heartbreaking finish, the Kings put up a good fight in Milwaukee. Sacramento's stars showed out as Domantas Sabonis led the way with 21 points, 15 assists, and 13 rebounds, notching his tenth triple-double of the season. His All-Star counterpart, Fox, led the team in scoring with 32 points, followed by star sixth-man Malik Monk with 28 and seven assists.

The most notable sight for Sacramento fans was the re-emergence of Kevin Huerter, who had 26 points and 10 rebounds, breaking a horrible cold streak. The Kings had their struggles, but the fight they showed after Brown's ejection was promising.

Losing on a buzzer-beater can be heartbreaking, but Sacramento will need to bounce back and use this loss against a challenging opponent as a learning opportunity.
