The Sacramento Kings have made it through the first 20 games of their season with 12 wins, a one-win increase from the start of their 48-win 2022-23 season. Despite winning just four of the last eight games, the Kings have proven they can compete with the best in the league.

The Kings are set to face off against the Brooklyn Nets on Monday, as the Nets have had an impressive start of their own. The Nets have kicked off their season 12-9, winning six of their last seven. Led by G Cam Thomas and F Mikal Bridges, the Nets sit at 7th in the Eastern Conference with clear potential to grow.

Bridges is averaging 31.7 points with 61/61/87 shooting splits through the Nets' three-game win streak as the 27-year-old makes a case for his first career All-Star appearance.

The Nets are a young, hungry team that can and will beat anybody. The Kings are a tough team to take down at home, but Brooklyn will come in and do everything they can to slow down All-Stars De'Aaron Fox and Domantas Sabonis.

Injury Report Kings vs. Nets 12/11

Kings:

G Malik Monk - AVAILABLE (illness)

G Colby Jones - AVAILABLE (back)

C Alex Len - OUT (ankle)

Nets:

G Dennis Smith Jr. - OUT (back)

G Lonnie Walker IV - OUT (hamstring)

G Ben Simmons - OUT (back)

The Nets will be without their sixth man and third-leading scorer in Walker, but the Kings will have their sixth man and third-leading scorer in Monk active, despite dealing with an illness. Walker and Simmons being sidelined are significant losses, and the Nets caught an unfortunate injury bug as they are out for extended time.

Monk has not missed a game for Sacramento this season, and the Kings are grateful their elite sixth man will be good to go for Monday's game. The 25-year-old guard is having a career-best season, averaging 14.7 points and 4.7 assists per game, shooting an impressive 42.4% from deep.

Walker and Monk will likely be competing for the Sixth Man of the Year award this season, but fans will not get the electric matchup between the two on Monday night.

The Nets visit the Kings on Monday at 7 P.M. PT/10 P.M. ET.
