After securing a win just a night ago, the Sacramento Kings are getting right back to it against the Minnesota Timberwolves in what will be their second leg of a back-to-back.

Minnesota currently sits atop the standings in the Western Conference with a strong 21-6 record, so this won’t be a walk in the park for Sacramento by any means. However, the Timberwolves released their injury report for today’s matchup revealing a key player out of the lineup.

Sacramento Kings:

Malik Monk- QUESTIONABLE (foot)

Alex Len- OUT (ankle)

Minnesota Timberwolves:

Karl-Anthony Towns- OUT (knee)

Jaylen Clark- OUT (Achilles)

The Kings will get a massive break in this one as All-Star Karl-Anthony Towns will be on the sidelines. He’s had a solid start to his 2023-24 campaign, averaging 22.2 points, 9.5 rebounds, and 3.0 assists in 27 games played. However, this contest will end up as his first absence of the year.

For Sacramento, they avoid any major injuries, but Malik Monk’s status remains in question with foot soreness. He was listed as questionable during the Kings’ last matchup against the Phoenix Suns before he ended up playing. Given this one comes off a back-to-back, it could lead to a different result.

Alex Len also remains out with an ankle sprain, but considering he returned as a full participant in practice before their game against the Suns, a return could be near for the Sacramento big.

The Kings and Timberwolves will tip off at 7 PM at the Golden One Center on Saturday night.
