Kings-Raptors Injury Report: Toronto Short 2 Rotational Players

After grinding out a double-OT victory against the Orlando Magic Wednesday night, the Sacramento Kings are back in action on their home floor against the Toronto Raptors. This contest will be the third of their four-game homestead before hitting the road later in the month for five straight.
Thankfully for the Kings, things continue to look positive in terms of overall health down the roster. After getting a bit banged up to start the season off, Sacramento continues into the new year with no designations on their injury report.
Both Toronto and Sacramento unveiled their injury reports ahead of Friday night’s matchup:
Sacramento Kings:
NONE
Toronto Raptors:
Otto Porter Jr.- DOUBTFUL (knee)
Christian Koloko- OUT (illness)
While the Kings managed to have zero entries on their report, the Raptors have a couple of absences down the rotation. Veteran F Otto Porter Jr. is doubtful to play in Friday’s contest due to a knee injury, while C Christian Koloko will be sidelined with an illness against Sacramento.
It effectively puts a bit of strain on the Raptors’ frontcourt depth, potentially signaling a more substantial role for guys like Jalen McDaniels and Chris Boucher in this one against the Kings. However, considering the recent play we’ve seen from All-NBA big Domantas Sabonis (averaging 22.6 points, 14.3 rebounds, & 9.1 assists in his last nine games), it won’t be a simple task for Toronto to step up defensively and on the glass.
The Kings and Raptors will tipoff at 7 PM MT at the Golden One Center, where Sacramento has a prime opportunity to secure their second-straight win of the new year.
