NBA Free Agency: Suns SG Damion Lee to Knicks?

The New York Knicks would benefit immensely from signing Phoenix Suns guard Damion Lee.
In this story:

The New York Knicks should search high and low for some three-point shooting help this offseason.

Such a transaction could be a splashy one, like trading for Paul George or a big name that will excite the New York fanbase, or it can come in an under-the-radar signing from an unexpected, yet effective source such as Phoenix Suns guard Damion Lee

Having recently wrapped his sixth NBA season, Lee finished second in the Association's three-point shooting percentage ranks, making over 44 percent of his shots beyond the arc.

Greg Swarts of Bleacher Report identified Lee as one of the players the Knicks could target in free agency this summer. The 30-year-old averaged 8.2 points per game with the Suns this past season after playing four years with the three-point machine from Golden State, partaking in the team's championship run last summer

If Lee could bring his three-point and championship pedigree to the Big Apple, the Knicks would certainly appreciate it. During the regular season, the Knicks were tied for 19th in three-point shooting with a 35.4 percent success rate. That number dipped even further in the postseason (last among the 16 competitors at just over 29 percent) and was a big reason behind their second-round elimination at the hands of the eventual Eastern Conference champion Miami Heat.

Adding Lee would give the Knicks' offense another dimension as it looks to not only return to the playoffs but move toward its first conference finals appearance since 2000.
