Cam Reddish Never Looking Back at Time With Knicks
The New York Knicks' 114-109 win over the Los Angeles Lakers on Monday proved special in more ways than one: the Knicks were able to spoil the raising of Los Angeles' In-Season Tournament championship banner thanks in part to 27-point, 14-rebound double-double from former Laker Julius Randle.
New York (15-11) also prevailed against former Knick Cam Reddish, facing RJ Barrett's Duke teammate and 2019 draft classmate for the first time since he signed with the Lakers over the offseason. Prior to Monday's game, Reddish wasn't interested in looking back on the past.
"I’ve got nothing for you," Reddish said, per Stefan Bondy of the New York Post. "My time in New York is over."
Reddish, Atlanta's 10th overall pick in 2019, played parts of two seasons with the Knicks after struggling to live up to expectations over his first three. The Duke alum was kept on the bench for each of his final 33 games before he was traded to Portland in the deal that brought Josh Hart to New York.
"It had nothing to do with basketball," Reddish said before he faced the Knicks as a Trail Blazer last season. "It was all the politics, all the favoritism."

In 35 appearances with the Knicks (8 starts), Reddish averaged 7.4 points and 1.5 rebounds. Ultimately, the deadline deal with the Blazers was the best move for all parties.
Since signing with the Lakers, Reddish hasn't posted exciting box scores (4 points on 2-of-9 from the field) but has gained particular praise for his defense, which has earned him a place in Los Angeles' starting five. Meanwhile, Hart's had an inconsistent start to this season but has been a valuable contributor off the bench in his year-plus in New York.
Reddish is set to return to Madison Square Garden for the first time since the trade on Feb. 3. In the meantime, the Knicks face the Brooklyn Nets at Barclays Center (7:30 p.m. ET, MSG).
